My topic for my senior project will be American films.
- Why Did you choose this topic?:
I enjoy watching films, so why not explore and learn on what makes a classic american film? I tend to really observe and figure out why a certain film is considered a classic. I want to further that research on my senior project. American film is a reflection of our culture and what is going on in our country. Since we are a melting pot in this country of different cultures, I believe our films have that variety that makes them interesting. The Golden Age of Holloywood was the very beginning of these classic films. Those were the good times, even when there was two wars going on! The majority of the films back then were quality films with a meaningful story. I really appreciate films like that and I want to show people what makes a great film so they won't ripped off my bad ones.
- What do you hope to accomplish after studying this topic all year?
I guess my goal is to share my love for classic films with different people. I want to show people that some old films are not boring as you think they can be. I want to learn and then show the hard work and dedication that was put into these classic films. There are some great films today, but the old american films had more depth and meaning to it then most films today. My goal is to show that to people.
