Independetn Task

I did 31 hours and 17 minutes of independent task. I started my independent task in October and ended in February. My independent task so far has helped me understand film even more.

LIA
L- I watched films of different genres through different time periods every Friday. I kept a log and gave a hard copy to my teacher.
I- The best way to learn about films, is to watch them! You learn so much by observing camera techniques, and what the director is trying to tell you through the story. That is why I chose to watch films and really observe them like art.
A- This task helps me understand why some films are considered classic! I watch and enjoy. The only way to learn from film is to watch the films that are considered the best!!
* I sent my pictures of evidence through email to my house teacher! I also gave a hard copy of my log to my house teacher!

20 Minute Presentation

Topic- American Film
EQ- What is the most important element of Classic American Film?
Objective- I want to teach people why certain films are considered Classic, and make the students think on what films they believe should be considered Classics!
Lesson Plan
  • Hook- Start off with the class with guessing what movie I am going to present on, by playing Classic Lines from the film. So just playing the audio.
  • Teach the Class on why a specific film (Casablanca, Gone With the Wind, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, and Rebel Without a Cause) is considered a Classic.
  • Activity- Then after learning the reasons why the films are considered Classics, then the students will then list  films they think should be considered Classics! They will then volunteer to present their films to the class.
Conclusion
I will then repeat the important points again and ask the audience if they have any questions.
